0.07 is today launching a paper titled The Emerging Global Order, which includes some cracking post-Howard analysis by Liberal MP Russell Trood:
"The Howard government needed to have a clearer sense of Australia's national interest, as opposed to identifying Australia's interest with America's interest. I would hope Howard and Downer would have expressed reservations about the dangers of the way we conducted the 'so-called war on terror' … The public record does not provide much evidence of it...
"I am not junking the whole Howard legacy but I don't think we should be hostage to it," he said.
