NINE federal police staff members are still working full-time on the Mohamed Haneef case as the investigation of the Indian doctor - and the bill to taxpayers - keep ticking over.

That's not all - another five officers are providing assistance "periodically". The AFP is still working with authorities in Britain and India, who are probably also desperately trying to nail something - anything! - on Haneef.
